Paul Fletcher DDS, is a periodontist who practices in New York City and is a member of Specialized Dentistry of New York, a group implant, cosmetic specialty practice. After receiving his dental degree from the University of Maryland and spending two years in a Veterans Administration Hospital residency in Portland Oregon, Dr. Fletcher received specialty certificates in periodontics from both the Veterans Administration Medical Center in New York City and New York University. An Associate Clinical Professor in postgraduate periodontics in the department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry for more than 30 years, and at Columbia University College for 8 years, Dr. Fletcher is now an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he teaches periodontics and implant dentistry on a post-graduate level. He has co-authored more than 40 scientific papers and has produced and moderated over 3 dozen oral healthcare and continuing-education videos and tapes for the Academy of General Dentistry, New York University, Vu-Medi, Dentalxp, Colgate-Palmolive, Hu-Friedy and Health Guru. His current teaching interest lies in educating the world wide dental community on the management of peri-implant disease and he has spoken extensively, both nationally and internationally,on periodontal prosthetics, implant dentistry, and peri-implant disease.
